Abella Bateyunga is a Tanzanian social entrepreneur with more than 14 years of experience engaging young men and women through Governance, media, ICT and innovation and the arts.
Abella is recognized for her outstanding leadership by President Obama’s flagship program YALI (Young African Leaders Initiative), having served as a YALI Fellow in 2014, she is also the Nelson Mandela School of Public Governance alumni of Emerging African Leaders initiative at University of Cape Town 2018.
She holds a bachelor degree in Law (LLB) from University of Dar es Salaam, a Postgraduate degree in Leadership from Uongozi Institute and Aalto University in Finland. She is currently pursuing double masters in Development Policy and Practice at the University of Cape Town and Masters in Strategic Governance at the Tanzanian Center for Foreign Relations.
