Nine other Smart Partners and representatives of the youth were also present including Mr Mark Byaruhanga and Mr Thaddeo Kasaija, Country Coordinators for the Smart 29ers.

At the meeting the President reiterated his strong support of the Smart Partnership movement, and his commitment to continue as Patron.

As part of the re-imagination process, which is centred around Food & Nutrition Security in Africa, His Excellency generously agreed to host a Side Event at the NAM/G77 Summit in Kampala in January 2024 for Heads of Government in the region.

Invitations to this exciting event will shortly be dispatched by His Excellency the President.
